Las Vegas Stamp Show Pictures.... finally!

Yes, the Las Vegas stamp show was about 2 months ago.  I meant to post them earlier, but better late than never.  This was my 1st Real Stamp Show. I spent 99% of my time in the DeNami booth.  It was fun & exhausting to set up & take down the booth. I don't know how they do it every weekend!  Nami spent most of her time demo-ing at the table and chatting with customers.  Paulina was in charge of the register & assisting customers.  I restocked items and helped customers find what they were looking for.  Can you see all of the beautiful card samples??? There were hundreds!!  In the last photo, not pictured were racks of cardstock, glitter, buttons, ribbon & accesories.  TOO big to fit into my camera lens.  A special thanks goes out to Nami and  Paulina for making my 1st stamp show a FUN one!! 

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #18

 

Seriously - 3 posts in one day?  I couldn't resist Dawn's color combination this week.  I already had raspberry ink on that gorgeous stamp, so I figured why mess with a good thing!!  Super fun rhinestones and ribbon were the perfect finishing touches.  DeNami Happy Birthday stamps is one of my favorites, I seem to use it often! DeNami glitter - so fun!

I'm patiently awaiting my parents arrival.  They are driving from Washington State to Vegas and will be arriving sometime this afternoon or evening.  My house is as clean as it is going to get, kids at school, perfect time to create a card!  Thanks for a fun color combo Dawn - and her Chicago pictures were so fun to look at.  Check them out if you have time!

Surprise Visit & Loads of Card Kits

I haven't posted anything in FOREVER - but I've been stamping like crazy!! Just happens to be work stuff.  The picture on the left is a DeNami Blitz class.  10 cards, 20 cards of each.  So, 200 cards total.  The picture on the right is Blitz 1 and Blitz 2 PRE-STAMPED card kits.  So, if I did the math right that is 400 pre-stamped cards.  Now you know why I've been a bad blogger.

This beautiful woman is the other reason I've been away from blog land.  I answered the door at 8:30 in the morning last Friday -expecting a neighbor kid needed a ride to school. Nope, my sister was standing there!! My jaw dropped open, I cried, and I just stood there.  I can't believe she kept it a secret since July.  When I saw her in July I knew I wouldn't see her again till after my little nephew was born in December. We had a fabulous extended weekend together. 

Clean & Simple Thanksgiving CAS33

I haven't made a Halloween card yet this year - but I felt like making a Thanksgiving card.  These pumpkins are some of my favorite fall stamps made by DeNami.  The saying is a clear $1 stamp from Michaels.  I embossed both of them using Versamark and Copper Embossing Powder.  The patterned paper matches, even though it doesn't look metallic in the picture, it is. 

I used the Clean and Simple challenge card on from Splitcoast for my inspiration.  I think this is one challenge I could participate in more often, I made this card in under 10 minutes!  Card base measures 4 1/4 tall by 8 inches long.  The pumpkins aren't that tiny, it's just a long card. Thanks for looking!

Mother Card - Caardvarks & My Time Color Challenge

This cards uses a color challenge and a sketch challenge.  Lauren had fabulous colors this week - you can check them out on her blog.  The sketch is from the Caardvarks Sunday sketch.   They have a new sketch every day this week. SO fun.  The focal image is a cherry blossom stamp by DeNami.  PTI Mother saying.  I've been working on some other "fall" cards this weekend -I'll post them tomorrow.  It's been over 100 here in Vegas, so I am SO ready for fall to come.  

Super Simple DeNami Thank You Notes

                                                      

I had a few card kits to mail out today to a few students.  I figured it would be a little tacky to write a note on a sticky note, so I whipped up a couple quick note cards.  The DeNami buttons  come in variety of sizes.  In the classes we use the small and medium sized buttons.  My friend Deb mentioned that she had a pile of larger buttons she wasn't sure what she would do with them. I'm a scrapbooker, so I already have ideas of what to do with my buttons.  Here is another idea - in case you are strictly a cardmaker only.   I pulled ribbon through the holes of the buttons and tied in a double knot.  The card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 DeNami Magenta cardstock. Bascially just a card front, note card style.   I layered a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of white cardstock on each.  Some DeNami Patterned Paper scraps added a little bit of pattern.  Used the Marvy punches to punch out the circle images.  Foam tape under the saying so it has dimension like the buttons. Quick, easy, thoughtful, perfect!  I just wrote a quick note on the blank white area and sent them all out today.  I Love getting things done off of my to-do list.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #16

LOTS of birthdays and anniversarys this week in our house. Mom, Dad, Hubby, Best Friend, and 2 anniversarys.  Lots of cards needed!  I wanted to use Dawn's color combo and Kazan's sketch this week together, but I couldn't make it happen. Instead, I used the colors and somehow ended up with a sunflower Anniversary card.  Oh well, it's the thought that counts - right?  I procrastinated in posting this card since I think it is so-so, but didn't end up getting a chance to make a "better" one. 

Supplies: Stampin Up Medallion Stamp & DeNami Happy Anniversary Stamp.  Chocolate Card Base, Cream SU Paper.  PTI Chocolate, Summer Sunrise Ink.  Rhinestone Center.

Happy Birthday Dad -- CAS28

I'm on a blogging roll - 2 days in a row!  This card is for Splitcoaststampers Clean & Simple Card Challenge - Masculine this week. My 1st time participating, but it worked perfect for my dad's birthday card. 
I LOVE this new DeNami round leafy tree stamp.  I used a quickie glue pen to fill in the leaves and added gamma green glitter. I added a few score lines with my score-pal under the birthday saying. Clean and Simple!

I have to include a picture of something - so here is my son on his 7th Birthday.  My birthday is 4 days after his, so this was my cake too.  Trust me, it had enough sugar in it to last 4 days!  The frosting had hot fudge sauce in it, yummy. 
I haven't made cards lately.  I worked many hours on my Honeymoon Scrapbook.  I am finished with it and will be giving it to my husband as a surprise gift for our 9 year anniversary in a few weeks.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #6

Dawn has another fabulous color combo this week.  I haven't participated in a few weeks and I've missed it!  Honestly, I already had this card made up and photographed, I just hadn't posted it yet. Lucky Me!  I used Paper Trey Cardstock: Chocolate, Coral, Aqua Mist & White.  DeNami Large Filigree stamp was used to make the background with Vintage Sepia Ink. I used a smaller DeNami filigree stamp to stamp onto the coral strip.  Stampin Up Scallop Punch, Papertrey Chocolate Satin Ribbon, DeNami Quickie Glue Pen & Xtra Fine Glitter.
