I was so excited today when I visited Dawns blog and she had posted a new color challenge. Last week I was lucky enough to be one of the 16 people she chose to be in the spotlight. SO Exciting, but so funny because I almost didn't post the card because I thought it was just So-So. I like the one I made this week much more... much more fun looking. As always, Dawn has chosen a fabulous color combination for us to work with.
My card: Blue flowers are harder to find, so I found a white flower that I liked and used my Copic markers to color it in. I spent the weekend at a stamp show in Vegas with DeNami queens Nami and Paulina. Such a fun time, I will post pictures soon! I did learn a fun new ribbon technique though. I've always loved the look of pleated & ruffled ribbon, but didn't like the idea of having to sew it. NOW I DON'T!! I ran a strip of ATG tape along the backside of the DeNami Grosgrain ribbon. You start on one side and just fold and push it down, super easy! I love all of the dimension and texture. I almost didn't want to cover it up, but ended up sticking the big flowers on top.
