I have to include a picture of something - so here is my son on his 7th Birthday.  My birthday is 4 days after his, so this was my cake too.  Trust me, it had enough sugar in it to last 4 days!  The frosting had hot fudge sauce in it, yummy. 
I haven't made cards lately.  I worked many hours on my Honeymoon Scrapbook.  I am finished with it and will be giving it to my husband as a surprise gift for our 9 year anniversary in a few weeks. 
Headed out to Colorado Spring tomorrow morning to teach DeNami classes.  I've had a lot of time off, so I am ready to have fun stamping!  Oh, and Cathy has a fabulous store to shop at. If you are in the Colorado Springs here is the link to the scrapbook/stamp store:  Simple Pleasres.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #6

Dawn has another fabulous color combo this week.  I haven't participated in a few weeks and I've missed it!  Honestly, I already had this card made up and photographed, I just hadn't posted it yet. Lucky Me!  I used Paper Trey Cardstock: Chocolate, Coral, Aqua Mist & White.  DeNami Large Filigree stamp was used to make the background with Vintage Sepia Ink. I used a smaller DeNami filigree stamp to stamp onto the coral strip.  Stampin Up Scallop Punch, Papertrey Chocolate Satin Ribbon, DeNami Quickie Glue Pen & Xtra Fine Glitter.  

Mish Inspired Thank-You

 The Making Memories Patterned Paper display at Michaels sucked me in.  I had to buy some paper, because of the gorgeous cards Mish shared with us here.  I love how she used a tiny bit of ribbon, tied with twine on top of her button. SO easy, but added just the amount of detail I needed on this simple little Thank you card. OH, and I picked up a sweet border punch by EK Success.  I didn't even know there was an additional aisle of border punches until I wandered around the store a few days ago. This is the dotted scallop punch. 

My sweet son will be turning 7 tomorrow. Happy Birthday Kasen! 

He had his class program yesterday at school.  He did a portrait of me, SO cute!  Hope everyone has a great weekend and Mother's Day!

Love you rain or shine - for my hubby.

My husband had to go to Green Bay for 4 days for work.  Before he left I secretly tucked this card in his suitcase.  It was a nice surprise for him to find a card when he arrived at his hotel.  I used the new PTI Scattered Showers set and background basics spots & dots.  Simple, but thoughtful, and that's what counts! I get to go pick him up at the airport in a hour.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #4 Happy Anniversary

 
Dawn has another fabulous color challenge this week.  Her colors for this week are Brown-Soft Aqua- & White.  You can see her full post here.  I love these colors together - my bedding is the same color scheme, and it is damask, so I had to use her Damask set!   Today is a very overcast and gloomy day here in Vegas, which rarely happens.  NOT a good day to try to photograph a pretty sparkly background.  Hopefully you can see a bit better in the close up shot.  I used PTI Fresh Snow Ink and sprinkled a mix of embossing powder & DeNami Xtra fine glitter on it.  Embossed it and now I have a pretty shimmery background paper.  I think this would make a great wedding card too! I am off to get my son at school, we are headed to Dairy Queen for an afterschool treat!  Have a great weekend.
