Baby Shower Thank-You's - Simple & Easy

I'm not a huge fan of mass producing cards. I'd much rather do a unique card, enjoy it, and move along to something different.  Not today! I needed to make 20 Thank-You cards for a mom to be.  I made her the beach/stork invites a few weeks ago, so these thank you cards match.  They are post card style, which takes 1/2 the amount of cardstock for the base.  I used Stampin Up Tempting Turquoise 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.   Stampin up top note die was perfect to add a little detail but still give her enough room to write out her thank you message.  Cute stork is a retired SU one.  Thank You by Amuse. Simple & Functional!

Happy Baby Shower - 2Sketches4u

I had a baby shower to attend on Sunday... so I whipped up a quick card using the 2 sketches 4 u sketch.  Super Fun sketch, but I was too late to post it on there sight.  I thought I would share it with you anyway.  I bought Dawn's new Scattered Showers set from PTI.  I think it is so cute and versatile.  The mom I made this card for loves turquoise. I found this DCWV patterned paper in my new glitter stacks, this one is from the citrus stack... I used it on the thank you card a few days ago too!  I'm loving the apron punch from Fiskars, just the tiny detail and bling really finishes off the card.  Happy Monday!!

Turtles & Flowered Thank-You --- My Time Saturday Sketches

Lauren always has unique layouts for her cards, I really wish I could see how her amazing brain works - SO creative!  Anyway, she posted 3 sketches for this week - I had time to try out two of them.  All of the sketches can be seen on her blog here.   Oh, and she is choosing lucky people to be on a design team too - I'd love to be chosen!  

Turlte Card: I'm always needing birthday cards for kids, so these DeNami turtles are perfect for boys.  I colored them in with my copics and added crystal lacquer so they are shiny little guys.  I thought the fun pom pom layer added just enough texture, and is a little more masculine than a bow would be.  All decorative paper is from Stampin Up. Cardstock is PTI. 

Thank You:  Still loving my DCWV Glitter Stacks. All of this patterned paper is from the Citrus Stack.  I just grabbed a quick Thank You stamp, otherwise this is a scrappy card.  3 Flowers, with Making Memories Brads in the center.  I did try to add a little glitter accent with my Fiskars Apron Punch, it added just a touch of sparkle.  Stickles and white cardstock... easy, easy.

A Bun In The Oven - for WSC77

When I saw the sketch for this weekend I knew this bella stamp would be a perfect fit.  Bella is so cute eating her ice cream with her pickle jar nearby.  Super simple card, but I love the way it turned out.  Colored in with my copics.  Glittery patterned paper from the DCWV Glitter Stack.  I added some stickles to the scalloped oval layer just to tie it into the background paper.  Some bling, and pom-poms finish it off.  Easy, easy, but says it all "bun in the oven".  This is for a newly pregnant mom, so I thought the sentiment was perfect.  Happy Monday!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #64

Happy Cupcake Friday! I was out of town for the last 2 Friday, so I was excited to participate today!  You can see Taylor's sketch here.   Fun sketch this week - you have all weekend to participate.  I used my set I bought month last month from her- "branching out". I had fun building the little tree branch scene.  I even used the tree base to make the swirly image on the kraft paper.  I really like the swirls!  The green stampin up paper I found had leaves similar to the ones I stamped, so I just added a few brown stamped images to the background to tie it all together.  I stamped and cut out a few extra leaves to add some dimension to my stamped panel.  OH, and I love my copic markers. It doesn't show too well - but I made the birdhouse look like wood.  Colored in with a dark brown and just used the colorless blender to pull some color off - so cool!  Have a great weekend.

DeNami Baby for 2 Sketches 4 You Sketch

DeNami is sponsoring the giveaway this week for 2 Sketches 4 You.  I love the sketch this week so I thought I would give it a try. I used ALL DeNami stamps to make this baby card.  100% DeNami supplies except for my new Apron Fiskars Punch and the use of my copic markers.  Oh, and I forgot to leave room for my sentiment.  I intended to stamp congratulations on the lower right corner - oops.  How cute are those tiny baby bibs, bottles, rattles & pins?  I love how easy it was to create a fun background paper to match my baby onesie I cut out.    OH, and that tiny polka dot stamp is so versatile! 

Lilacs for Mom - MOJO Monday Sketch

My family and I had a wonderful spring break - we were in Washington visiting our family and friends.   I did miss my stamps and crafty stuff!  I finally had a chance to make a few cards this morning.  I used the Mojo Monday week 82 sketch for my 1st card.  I stamped the lilacs twice so I went ahead and made a second card using the same colors.  I actually prefer the way the second card turned out, but they will both be used for Mothers Day cards for someone.   Mother's Day always sneaks up on me, so I am getting ready this year!  I already have my card for my mom, but I am going to try to make mother's day cards for other special moms I know- Grandmas, Aunts, and Friends too!

I cut 1/2 my hair off - no foolin!

My husband was the only person that new I was planning on cutting my hair. So it will be fun when my sister picks me up from the airport in a few days, she will be shocked. I have had my hair pixie length before, so this isn't really too short. Just thought it would be fun to show you pics - enjoy!
