Wedding Doves

 

Another DeNami card I made in December.  Not my favorite, but not horrible either.  This is a Congratulations card for a wedding.  Notice the cute circular saying and 2 doves.  I am sure it is really just a pretty bird, but on this card they are a set of love birds, or doves. All supplies used are from DeNami Design. 

I've had a sick daughter all week.  She is finally better tonight, we might even make it out of the house tomorrow!  I finished some book marks that my mom requested, and a few basic scrapbook pages this afternoon.  Atleast I am getting things done while being at home this week.

Almost a Single Layer

   

   

Sometimes it is nice to make a single layer card.  I think more emphasis is put on these beautiful stamps! Don't you love them?  The top card is more springy colors, and the bottom more fall/winterish.  Either would work for so many different occasions.  The glitter looks really nice on the large filigree stamp image, easy to fill in with the quickie glue pen. 

I used the mini, small & medium solid filigree stamps for the background look.  All of the new stamps  can be purchased online from DeNami.   I used the J115 Filigree Centerpiece stamp twice to make the background behind each saying.  The dot border is from last season, and the Congratulations stamp - otherwise these are all new this month!

5 minute love note

 

I love Valentine's Day.... but that is weeks away.  My husband deserves a love note today.  Sometimes a "just because" note is appreciated more than anything.  I like to leave notes and cards for my husband - just to surprise him and make him smile.  I leave them in his sock drawer, toothpaste drawer, inside his medicine cabinet, my his alarm clock etc.  I haven't being doing it often enough- so I took about 5 minutes and whipped this simple little card together.  Nothing fancy, no glitter, no bling. Just a scalloped circle card and some nice writing on the inside from me.

So- make a love note for a friend or family member - "Just Because"  You will enjoy giving it as much as they enjoy receiving it!

Supplies: Nestabilites Circle & Scalloped Circle Dies.  Papertrey Ink heart prints  for the heart & inside message.  DeNami Black Polka Dot ribbon and with love circle stamp.   

Cupcake Challenge by Taylor #52

 

Two challenges in one day!  My kids don't have school today so I had some time to play.  This is for Taylors sketch challenge. 

I used this Birthday Cake stamp from DeNami for my main image. Oval nestabilites for the shapes.  I have really tried to dig through my patterned paper stash and give away what I most likely won't use. I have a stack of a few hundred sheets to pass along to a friend.  I still have too much... so I am trying to use some of it!  This is old Stampin Up Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper.  Another piece of my Cool Caribbean CS.  I found these textured buttons that matched perfectly by SEI - Granny Kitchen Collection... that I have had for years and never touched.  I love my new punch too- Fiskars from Michaels that I got with my 40% coupon.  I added some DeNami mesh irridescent ribbon and irridescent glitter to finish it off.  Oh, and that ribbon has nice texture, but it was just in my stash, probably from Michaels about 8 years ago.

Kristina's Color Inspiration #39

 

                           

For some reason as soon as I saw Krisitina's colors this week I instantly thought of ladybugs.  I just had a hard time incorporating the yellow and green. I think I would have normally used pink, but thats why its a challenge. Here is Kristina's blog link.   I love her challenges, they are really getting a lot of interest, so many cards to see every week.  This is another card I will be sending to my sweet mom. I feel bad I am far away and can't help her out. The least I could do is send her a fun card and pictures every few days or so.

Supplies: Papertrey Ink: Little Lady Stamps & Mixed Message for the saying. Versafine Black & Red Ink for the ladybugs. Brilliance Lime for the flowers.  I added the making memories brads for the centers of the flowers. Papertrey White, SU Basic Black & I think So Saffron. SU Lime Grosgrain RIbbon.   

Lockhart Tulips

 

Can you believe this is my 1st time using this beautiful tulip stamp?  My mom had foot surgery so I thought this was a good thinking of you stamp.  The inside is stamped with another Karen Lockhart image "sit back and relax". Perfect for mom.  I didn't even add glitter for once, I thought it was perfect without it for once.

Stamps: Karen Lockhart 2025, 10037.    Cardstock: Papertrey Plum Pudding & Cream.  Guidelines Patterned Paper.  Lavendar Moon Satin Ribbon.  I used the Label 1 nestabilite dies for my layers.  Copic Markers. 

Elegant Damask

 

I love Damask patterns. My bedding, a purse, storage..... I see it everywhere in my house.  I was so excited when I received the box of stamps in the mail from DeNami.... and even more excited to see these!  This card looks like a wedding card to me, but you could easily change out the saying and use it for anything.

New DeNami stamps used: mini/small/medium solid filigree stamps - 3 total.  I used Versafine Purple and Platinum Planet Brilliance Pads. Glue Pad with gamma green DeNami glitter. The Congratulations stamp is not a "new" DeNami stamp, but still a good one - F149 Small Congratulations. Oh, and DeNami ribbon too!

Chickie Love

  

 

This is another DeNami sample I made in December.  I wanted it to be pink/red/black.  It isn't my favorite sample, but I wanted you to see how cute the chickies are.  I love using the quickie glue pen to fill in the chicks and then sprinkle yellow glitter on them. 

I've seen so many Valentine cards being made on all of the blogs I read.  I am almost ready to a make some.  I ordered some new stamps, paper and ribbon - so I will start once I get the box, hopefully today.

Loving Grandma

 

 

 

I made a 75th Birthday card earlier in the week for my sweet Grandma.  This is part of her gift also.  My sister and I complied a list of a few reasons we love Grandma. I printed them out and made this quick little booklet for a gift for her.  Basic Grey Matchbook die cut kit made this a quick project. Simple little thing, but I love the ideas my sister and I had to put in her book.  Some of them were the same ideas, others were totally different.   I am sure this will be something she will treasure forever.  Happy 75th!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #51

 

My 1st time taking part in Taylors Cupcake Challenge.  You can see her sketch and amazing blog here. I finally inked up this cute Cupcake Image from Impression Obsession.  F2175 Cupcakes is an unmounted rubber stamp I picked up while I was working at Stampers Ink.  I used the Cupcake 6x6 paper pad by Basic Grey for the yellow background and patterend paper strips.  Cool Caribbean Cardstock base is retired from Stampin Up now, but I still have a stash left.  Papertrey Ink Red Cardstock with the Rectangle Nestabilities by Spellbinder.  Colored in with Copics, quickie glue pen and irridescent glitter from DeNami.  Added the 3 red Robins Nest baubles, which I made red with my copic marker. Happy Birthday sentiment from Amuse.  I actually really like this layout, great way to use up some strips of paper too!  Thanks for looking!
