SERIOUSLY- SNOW in Vegas!

 

   

Yep, I posted Winter themed cards as a joke last week - and this is what arrived in Vegas yesterday.  We had about 3 inches of snow.  Some of my friends had 5-7 inches.  The strip didn't get any, but I am just a little higher up in elevation and it made a BIG difference.  So Fun. Notice our FUN Vegas Snowlady in her bikini.  My sister in law visited us for a week from WA. State. I felt bad this is the kind of weather she got, but we did have fun building snowmen.

SO, these are by no means anything fancy. But I made them recently and actually took photos before they were given away.  But, hey atleast you have something to look at - right?

I have my sister-in law here this week. We went and saw Phantom of the Opera last night. I thought it was good, but I still think Mystere and O are "better".  Totally different shows, but if I was to see one again I'd stick to the cirque shoes.

Tonight and tomorrow night we are off to Christmas Work parties for my husband. I still have a few more gifts to make, I will try to take photos and post them next week.

Envelope info for Cecelia in Texas...

I was in Texas a few weeks ago.  I had a lovely student named Cecilia.  I know you wanted my envelope source.  Was there something else you asked?  If so, Please email me.  Here is the email to the guy I buy envelopes from. tradersect@earthlink.net  OR here is his eBay store.

So, if you like the envelopes I give you in my DeNami classes - these are the same ones.  They have the nice square back on them, good quality for the price.  I have been buying envelopes from the same guy for atleast 6 years.  I think you have to buy atleast 100-250 at a time. The ones I buy are A2 standard size, they come in cream or white.  You could buy a bunch and split them with a friend if you don't need that many though.  I bought 1250 envelopes last week for $49.00 including shipping, I don't have a calculator close to me, but that seems pretty cheap. He does carry other colors and sizes - so check it out.

Snowflake Shimmer

  

I love this shimmery snowflake card.  I wish I could capture the beauty with my camera, but it was dark and I already gave the card away... whoops!  No snowflakes in Vegas - but it was cold (50's) and windy today.

I used a clear Hero Arts Stamp Set -CL234 Winters Butterfly - I think.  Saying and the large snowflakes were stamped in Versafine Majestic Blue.  Brilliance Platinum Planet & Silver.  The turquoise color is the Color Box Chalk Blue Iris. I added a row of silver liquid pearls to break up the pattern.  Added some stickles and Hero Arts Snowflake embelishments.  Ribbon from DeNami Design.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving Wishes!  Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving with their families.  Our's was good, even though we were all recouping from a icky long flu bug!

I haven't posted in 2 months.  No one emailed me with worries, so you must have known I was busy.  The first thing that slowed the blogging down was the flood we had in our home.  Servicemaster had 22 fans blowing in my house.  We have had to put new carpet, baseboard, paint, and drywall up - VERY time consuming and messy around here.

 

 

THEN, my mom and dad came to stay with us for 2 weeks.  Oh, and my sister was here for 6 days too!  THis is a picture of my cute family eating Dairy Queen Chocolate Dipped Cones... yummy!

 

THEN.. my parents left on a Monday and we left on Tuesday to fly to Hawaii. This picture is of Hanauma Bay.  We spent 1/2 day here playing in the sand, surf, and sun.  My husband and I snorkled and saw a HUGE Sea Turtle.  Very exciting.
